"Eco Loco"

Eco-Loco is our entry for the Form Shift Vancouver Eco-density Competition. The premise of this exploration is based on establishing a new Eco-Zoning thereby creating new spatial possibility for more environmentally sensitive communities. To facilitate this we studied the current zoning regulations of a typical RS-1 site, and envisioned ways better utilize density, minimize site coverage, and provide more environmentally sensitive interior and exterior spaces. This exploration was supported by integrating principles aimed at reducing energy usage, providing mixed housing options, and increasing bio-diversity.
